PhD Postgraduate Research
Since 2023, I have been working on my doctoral thesis at the University of Leicester. Although I have been given a 4-year timeline within which to complete my thesis, I am nearing the point of submission after just three years of study, emphasising my strong self-motivation, my passion and my academic drive to complete my work not only to the best of my ability, but also well before set deadlines. I aim to have my thesis submitted by the end of 2026. For more details on my thesis, please see the ‘my research’ page.
Co-Founder, Jim Jamboree
After completing my master’s at the University of Leicester, I co-founded a sustainable vintage clothing store with my younger sister. Our business really began to thrive during 2020, and we became part of the Depop Top Seller programme for our efforts, consistently ranking our shop amongst the top sellers on the app globally. We took part in several events at Depop HQ in London, including in person sales, summits and talks. We also had the opportunity to connect with other buyers and featured on several independent podcasts regarding our work.
Keynote Speaker, The Zebrared Project
For the best part of a decade, I was part of the team at Zebrared, working with vulnerable people and speaking within education setting about the dangers of hate crimes and violence. As part of my role, I also produced some key research material that dispelled some of the myths about people seeking asylum in Britain. The documents produced helped aid learners in better understanding the complications in society and the world around us.
Freelance Graphic Designer
For a few years, I worked as a freelance graphic designer, employing skills from my time at college, to develop presentations, websites and learning resources for several organisations. This included work for The Zebrared Projects, Age Concern and The British Sovereign Base Police in Cyprus.
